Technology
Pro-Tech™
The patented Pro-Tech™ double-seal technology firmly connects the two half-axles inside the bottom bracket and protects the bearings from water and mud ingress, providing high-performance longevity even in the worst conditions. The innovative and proven Ultra-Torque™ technology was developed with gravel in mind: the Hirth joint of the Pro-Tech™ system features self-centering and self-aligning teeth located at the center of the crank where the ends of the integrated half-axles meet. The axles are fastened together with a single oversized protected bolt; their precise coupling can even compensate for misalignment that some carbon frames may have due to tiny manufacturing tolerance differences.
The torque transmission of the Pro-Tech™ crankset system is as efficient as that of a single thru-axle and is lighter. Additionally, being better protected than other systems, it is also more durable. The oversized stainless steel bearing placed on the crank arm, outside the bottom bracket cups, offers maximum stiffness, smoothness, and resistance thanks to the increased diameter of the axles.
