For 2023, the Fox 38 fork is updated with a new crown featuring updated design and engineering for greater overlap of the steerer tube, improving durability while maintaining stiffness and shedding 20 grams.

The Fox 38 Float is a fork designed for AM/Enduro riding.

This 2023 version offers three additional improvements:

LOWER BYPASS CHANNELS.

The increased air volume in the lower legs reduces the amount of involuntary extra pressure. The oil bath in the lower legs also flows to the upper legs, continuously lubricating the foam bushings and bearings as the fork compresses and extends through its travel.

LOWER LEG BLEEDERS

Allows air pressure equalization to improve fork performance, enabling full travel and greater sensitivity and responsiveness on small bumps.

NEW LOWER LEG ARCH

Our new lower leg design does everything possible to save grams while ensuring it does not compromise the stiffness or strength required for modern enduro and gravity-style riding.

Kabolt X, a lightweight bolted floating axle designed to save grams and increase torsional stiffness through a sleeve-free design and single-sided pin.

GRIP2 Cartridge:

Our GRIP2 damper is the benchmark for unmatched ride quality and ultra-precise tuning. GRIP2 features our patented Variable Valve Control (VVC) technology that allows fine external adjustment of suspension performance. GRIP2 makes what typically requires the long and complicated task of fully disassembling and reassembling the fork a breeze.

FLOAT EVOL Air Shock:

EVOL technology increases the negative air spring volume, optimizing sensitivity to small bumps. The linear EVOL spring curve offers top-end softness, extra mid-stroke support, and a more tunable end-stroke progression.
The benefits of EVOL are further enhanced by our new lower leg channels and bleeders, both working to reduce trapped air pressure in the lower legs, allowing the EVOL air spring to operate freely without unwanted interference.
