The HALO HOT WAX chain lubricant is designed to significantly improve drivetrain performance in both dry and wet conditions. Paraffin
Highly refined, it creates a robust and dry-to-the-touch coating, eliminates abrasive contaminants that cause friction, and virtually removes chain stains.

Special tungsten
Features a proprietary hollow core to reduce vibrational friction caused by high-torque pedaling. The micrometric size and spherical shape help reduce sliding friction by creating a rolling effect on the chain surface.

Ceramic boron nitride plates
Coat the chain to form a non-stick protective layer. This ceramic coating works synergistically with the spherical tungsten to reduce wear and help extend the life of expensive drivetrain components.

Instructions

• Locate the master link to quickly and easily remove the chain (master link pliers required). Clean and thoroughly dry the chain before the first application.
• To melt the wax pellets, place the HALO pouch in a pot of water and bring the water to a gentle boil. Alternatively, pour the pellets into a slow cooker to melt the wax.
• Secure the chain on the dipping tool provided in the bag. Scan the QR code for the best technique.
• Once the wax pellets are fully melted, remove the pouch and place it on a covered work surface.
• Use the dipping tool to immerse the chain in the melted wax.
• Leave the chain in the wax for at least 3 minutes to ensure complete penetration into the chain bushings.
• Remove the chain from the hot wax and hang it until completely dry (about 30 minutes). Note: some wax will drip from the chain.
• Once dry, handle the chain before reattaching it to the bike. Note: it is normal for excess wax to flake off.

Supplier notes: Keep the maximum temperature below 220°F (104°C). Do not use an oven or microwave to melt the wax. Avoid exposure to open flames. Wear gloves and goggles. If you need to remove old wax from the chain, use boiling water to remove it.
